BEIJING, July 25 (Xinhuanet) -- The 12th China International Chorus Festival (CICF) and International Federation of Choral Music (IFCM) World Youth Choral Education Conference will kick off in Beijing on July 29, 2014.
A total of 121 activities will be held during the seven-day festival, which is themed "Come to Beijing, listen to the songs of the world." There will be competitions, high-level concerts, exchange performances, master classes, choral saloons, forums and performing tours.
Chinese musician Tian Haojiang and singer Momo Wu will be the image ambassadors of the event.
Established in 1992, the CICF is a biennial event aiming to enhance the choral exchanges between China and other countries.
Known as China’s highest-level international chorus festival, it’s co-hosted by the Bureau for External Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Culture, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture, Shijingshang District Government, China Arts and Entertainment Group, International Federation for Choral Music and China Choral Association.
