“Some of the ideas might be brought further.” said Benjamin Marais, CIO of MTN to People’s Daily Online. “Africa got lots of challenges, from education to growing our economy. We get involved to showcase to the world that Africa is able to solve Africa’s problems by smart developers and technology collaboration.” He said.

Chinese tech companies ZTE and Huawei sponsored the event by providing their developing platforms, including platforms that span Machine to Machine / IoT, Enterprise Communications, A.I., Cloud VAS, Mobile Apps and many more.

Webinars on the development themes were also ran in parallel across 30 cities around the world.
