Chinese Embassy in S.Africa celebrates China’s 66th National Day

Pretoria, Sep 30 (People’s Daily Online) - The Chinese Embassy in South Africa held a National Day reception on Tuesday, celebrating the 66th National Day of the People’s Republic of China.

Chinese Ambassador in South Africa Tian Xuejuan and Minister of Trade and Industry of South Africa Rob Davies attended the reception as top representatives of the both countries. More than 600 people from all walks of life in South Africa were invited to join the event.

This year’s National Day reception also marked the Open Day of the Embassy. Decorating with red lanterns and some other Chinese traditional elements, the Embassy also displayed China’s grand history and culture, its development through all these years and its close relationship with South Africa by multimedia, photo exhibition, and stands of Chinese enterprises investing in South Africa. Guests were also entertained by artists from China’s Nanjing Tech University and from the South African Police Service.
